The Fejes String Quartet was formed in 2006, primarily to perform together as part of the Royal Scottish National Orchestra’s outreach week. Although initially a temporary arrangement, the four players quickly realised that they had the “marriage of musical minds” necessary to achieve more. By profession orchestral musicians (they are all members of the RSNO) they came together with a wealth of chamber music experience between them and this is evident in how quickly they have blended together musically, mentally and tonally as a quartet.

Whilst they continue to promote the RSNO’s outreach events, their reputation as a String Quartet of the highest standard is rapidly spreading backed up by invitations to perform at various music clubs and other venues throughout Scotland. The Fejes quartet have been invited to perform in the USA and are currently working and planning for this tour.

Not only confined to the concert hall and music club environment the Fejes quartet pride themselves on their versatility, as a recent performance alongside a Glasgow DJ has shown. They have proved themselves by playing at and providing musical entertainment for weddings and corporate events and have an extensive library for such occasions.
